John F. Gorman

Mr. Gorman has over 30 years in the construction industry in New England with the last
20 years as a strategic permitting specialist in the greater Boston area. He has extensive permitting experience in the City of Boston including Article 80 reviews at the Boston Redevelopment Authority as well as the downstream permitting requirements at the City of Boston Zoning Board of Appeal, Inspectional Services Department, Public Improvement Commission, Public Works Department, Water and Sewer Commission, Environmental Department, Landmark Commission, Conservation Commission, Parks Department and the Fire Department. Negotiating
the integration of state handicap accessibility codes
onto construction projects is another area of
expertise.
A licensed builder in Massachusetts since the early 1980s, his experience counts hundreds of residential, commercial and mixed-use construction projects. In the realms of project management, he has been involved in numerous large infrastructure projects for the MBTA (Silver Line World Trade Station, Operation Control Center at 45 High Street), Massachusetts Turnpike (Third Harbor Tunnel and vent buildings), AMTRAK (Northeast Corridor High Speed Electrification Project) and Massport (Hold Baggage Screening Project).
Mr. Gorman also specializes in Political Logistics and Advance work. He has worked with all forms of special events from National conventions, Inaugural events and large scale special appearances, with all levels of officials and candidates from Presidents to Ambassadors to Senators and Congressmen. He has been immersed in politics since his election to local office (school board) in 1971 at the age of 20.
