Marty Dunn, a registered attorney in Massachusetts since 1983, brings a wealth of experience to his position as the manager and lead for the Newgrange Government Relations Group.
Not only was Attorney Dunn the former Mayor of the City of Holyoke, but he also was elected and served as a member of the Massachusetts Senate representing the Hampden-Hampshire District. While serving as a State Senator, Attorney Dunn was Chairman of the Committee on Local Affairs dealing with the Commonwealth’s municipal issues.
In recognition of his superlative work in the Legislature and on behalf of children and education, Marty was awarded the prestigious Legislator of the Year Award by the Massachusetts Teacher’s Association in 1992.
Rounding out his credentials, Attorney Dunn served as an attorney in the Office of the Senate Counsel from 1994 through 2004, providing legal counsel to all members of the Massachusetts Senate on a variety of legislative matters. In this capacity, Marty was a key player in the state budgetary process and in the drafting and analyzing of legislation filed in the General Court of Massachusetts.
Attorney Dunn is one of the most respected former members of the Massachusetts Legislature and counts most of the current members as his friends.
